On May 31, the superintendent Mr. Tauso Ii talked with the writer,Mr. Yo Tsumoto.
.The topic did not run out not only about history but also ’Kenjutsu’
or the curio. The talk was started at noon and became it at the time of
nightfall when I noticed it.Cheerful two people threw in a meal and liquor
and handled taking a long time of about 6 hours. The story of Iwo Jima
and the whaling from Mr.Tsumoto were impressive.
In addition, this talk is going to be published as collection of talks
"length and breadth inexhaustibility Yo Tsumoto / Tatsuo Ii"
(a tentative title) in about this autumn.Unlike the normal talk,it is a
thing without the addition and subtraction that it recorded in the improvising
without preparations without doing the setting of the theme beforehand.History

On December 1, the program production staff of Nippon Television visited
our museum. They photographed and collected the interview of the Director
Ii.This is going to be broadcasted by a program called the "world
unification! Three military commanders are special" (Nippon Television
/ January 4 9:00 p.m.).
"The public one confidential record" of the director private
property is exhibited in "decision! For the foundation of a country
and chief ministry Naosuke Ii" exhibition at Hikone-jo Castle Museum,
it is exhibited until July 20.This is the government affairs pivot record
of Rokunojo Utsuki who was a negotiator(the situation that gave power to
the Chief Cabinet Secretary more if I said by the present) of Naosuke Ii.
He wrote down a case or the event that happened inside of Edo castle and
a residence of a lord."The public one confidential record" that
came till now is the record that changed the truth to submit it to the
Meiji government.It was quoted in a biography of Naosuke, but there was
the truth to distinction really.It is "the public one confidential
record" of the director private property. It was reported as news
partly, but look at the one with the interest by all means in Hikone-jo

Yoita is the place where there was a castle (Yoita Castle) of Kanetsugu
Naoe who is a chief character of TAIGA drama "tenchibito" of
NHK of 2009.

Koide who was a curator of Kyoto Ii Museum participated in a big festival
(a 12th eve, a 13th main festival) of Ii Shrine enshrined in Yoita (Yoita-cho,
Nagaoka-shi, Niigata) as substitution of Director Ii in this year. He interchanged
with local people as a symbol of the Iis with Mr. and Mrs. Ii who are the
17th generation of the Yoita feudal clan and adoptive parents of Director
Ii. Koide was worried about a festival of the land which he did not know
before going, but he kept it in mind not to be ashamed as substitution
of the director and was able to put it away safely.

*ConferenceI with Mr.Yoh Tsumoto of a writer
On March 13, Mr.Yoh Tsumoto visited our museum with his daughter as a secretary
and persons of an editorial department of BungeishunjuLtd.Corporation.
His book of "Shishi no keifu" is released in about summer. The
book named "Ii gunshi" of Director Ii.
became references of this book,. "Shishi no keifu" was published
serially in a magazine of "All yomimono" from July, 2005 to August,
2006.
Both Mr.Tsumoto and the Ii director were familiar with a Japanese sword,
even the first meeting became lively by a story of the history.

*A thank-you letter from a school excursion students
A thank-you letter arrived from students of Shizuoka junior high school
attached to the Shizuoka University Department of Education for their visit.The
theme of their experience learning was"endlessness-investigate thought
of people living there from Japanese culture".Three students who took
away an armor and a sword observed it eagerly interestingly. It is good
study that people of a young generation touch a genuine armor and sword.
We intend to cooperate with social education of a student child in future. (Mar

,he was caught in a sudden thunderstorm and he looked for the place that
took shelter.Then he was led to the cat to beckon. It is said that there
became Gotokuji.

On November 23, the Director Ii visited the family temple (koufukuji temple
and Gotokuji temple) of Tokyo with heiress Tatsuya by guidance of Mr. predecessors
in the family line Ii Osamu . It was late for busyness for several years
since the director succeeded to the 18th the former Yoita feudal clan Iis
charges. We cooked incense to an ancestral gravestone and offered a flower
and reported the the 18th succession. On that day,it was good weather and
it became memorialized day .

*Exhibition guidance cooperating with a memory special plan exhibition
for construction of Hikone castle 400 years - Hikone Castle Museum -
On March 5, Mr.Watanabe and Mrs.Noda(Hikone-jo Castle Museum curator) visited
our museum.
"Hyakkaryouran - Hikone history picture scroll -" exhibition is held from 3/21 to 11/25 as a memory special plan exhibition for construction of Hikone castle 400 years at Hikone castle museum..
We cooperates in historical materials to be related to Naomasa Ｉｉ(first
generation of Hikone Ｉｉ family),Naotaka and Naosuke. They are documents
of the most importance for Hikone clan Ii-related document. It is the historical
materials that are indispensable when we know Hikone affairs of a feudal
clan and a true figure of Naosuke.(Mar 7, 2007)
* The visit of the Director of the Hanrou HONDA Zouhinkan
On December 13, Mr.Masamitsu Honda of the Director of the Hanrou HONDA Zouhinkan visited our museum .
The Honda family was the first on the list senior retainer of the of Maeda
family.The the Hondas became the accredited administrative adviser of the
Kaga feudal clan in response to a command Shogun Ieyasu directly..
The conversation about the history talk of Kaga feudal clan became lively.The Director Ii and the Director Honda promised each other's future cooperation.
